All Foxes (and Alternates, and Committee members) can operate as
Foxes (calling CQ FOX) on 80, or 40, or both, with no frequency
restrictions.
Those operating on both bands can change back and forth at will.
Logs from both Foxes and Hounds can be posted on Q-Fox, but there is
no requirement to post a log and no official scoring. In other
words, it's a "personal challenge" for both Foxes and Hounds.

NOW HEAR THIS, ALL YE FOX HUNTERS!!
You asked, and we heard you. Just when you thought you couldn't survive
even one more second
withoug the smell of gunsmoke and FOX fur.......suddenly we will be bringing
it back. At least for one
frantic evening. Or rather for at least one evening. Er rather, for *part*
of one evening (he-he) !!
That evening will be Thursday, April 5, 2007. Note that this date is coming
up VERY quickly. Like
in only a bit over a week. REALLY? Yep, really. For sure. On the Western
Church calendar that
is Maundy Thursday, the day before Good Friday.
So....now is the time to mark your calendars, tune up your rigs for both 80
and 40 Metres, tighten up
your wire antenna support lines, invite all your fellow QRPers (AND all your
other ham buddies)
and get ready for a whole bunch of fun--in the upcoming F O X T R A V A G A
N Z A ! ! !
Here are the details = FoxTravaganza on Thursday April 5th from 0130Z to
0259Z
(yes, a half hour later than the last two weeks' hunts).
Every FOX, Alternate, and FOX Committee Member will be invited to play, and
will
have their option of operating on either 40 or 80. And they might just
choose to jump
back and forth between the bands without much advance notice. Think of
the possibilities! Who knows, I just might even get into some of the
action myself [g].
Exchange will be the usual RST + SPC + Name + Pwr. That's it. Note = You
can work the FOXes on each band. 5 Watts max power. Any kind of rig
or antenna.
So everybody get ready for loads of fun. CU soon. Very soon!
73,
--Doc/K0EVZ Poppa FOX
